On August 17th 2019, the Pakistan Hub 2x660MW Thermal Power Plant has passed all tests for official commissioning and is confirmed by central power purchasing department and Power grid dispatching center, which means the Power Plant has been officially put into commercial operation.
The 3-year construction is now over and the HUBCO project finally steped into operation stage. The Hub 2x660 MW power plant project is located at Hub, Balochistan Province, Pakistan, and is invested by China Power International Holding Limited and Pakistan Hub Power Company, with a total investment of around $2 Billion.
The Hub Power Plant started construction in March, 2017 and completed commissioning tests on August 14th. The "Hub speed" has got praise from all sides. The EPC contracter is the consortium of Northwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd of CEEC and Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. of CEEC.
The Hub Power Plant has produced 410 million kWh electricity during testing, and can produce 9 billion MW electricity after commercial operation. The safe, clean and stable electricity can relieve the Pakistan's power shortage and bring vast ecconomic benefits.
